Donkey milk
Donkey milk is a true elixir of life. For millennia, it has been recognised for its nutritional value and properties for cosmetics. Cleopatra, the Queen of Egypt and Poppaea, the Empress of Rome are among its most famous users.
Donkey’s milk is rich in vitamins, minerals, trace elements and essential fatty acids (omega 6).Omega 6 naturally softens the skin, moisturises it, and helps it to absorb the vitamins of the donkey milk.
The minerals cleanse the skin, allowing dead skin to be removed thus leaving room for new cells, and promote cell growth.
These two actions combined result in an improved regeneration of skin cells
Finally, vitamins A, B2, C and E, found in donkey’s milk, are known to have antioxidising properties, which serve as stabilisers for cellular and regenerative structures. Aging of the skin is slowed while healing mechanisms are accelerated!
The cosmetics in our range include powdered donkey milk in their composition: the equivalent of 27% donkey milk in soaps, 20% in washing products (bath cream, shower gel) and 10% in creams.
Transforming the milk into powder helps to preserve and stabilise the product. This technique allows us to put more milk into our skincare products and keep the essence of the active ingredient.
